RDI, in partnership with Dariswanaag projects in kenya, is implementing a sustainable water access project in Gerilley town titled, “Strengthening trust and resilience to violent extremism through sustainable water access for cross border Communities.”
The project’s main objective is to enhance community resilience against violent extremism by ensuring sustainable access to water resources. This project aims to foster trust and collaboration between diverse cross border communities living in Kenya and Somalia, ultimately promoting social cohesion and stability in the region. By addressing water scarcity and improving access to this vital resource, the project seeks to mitigate the factors that contribute to radicalization and violence.
In light of the above, RDI is planning to drill and develop a borehole which is expected to benefit approximately 3500, households across 10 neighboring villages located in both Kenya and Somalia. The organization is inviting qualified and interested companies to submit their Bid in a sealed and stamped envelope to RDI -WAJIR office, no later than Monday 17th November 2025 at 5:00 pm local time.
